Venus Setting & Orange Orbs
The other day I felt like getting out of the city and taking a break. So I drove two and a half hours north east of Albuquerque to Conchas Lake State Park and spent a few days in slightly windy but a warm 83 degree weather. I really wanted to get the moon that was in its crescent phase, setting above the lake. Unfortunately it was a bit cloudy. I did capture Venus setting above the lake. Though, it is not really that amazing of a photo. It is hard to get a good foreground with a telephoto lens after dark. One thing that was super cool, was the five or so minutes of orange orbs that danced around in the sky in front of me. Though, of course I was not set up to get any decent photos or video of them, so I guess you will have to take my word for it. I spend a lot of time looking at the night sky and yes, I do see things like that on occasion. No, I do not have a solid opinion on what they are. But they are definitely there.
